Bo Barnhart, PhD
Bo Barnhart is SVP, Biology and Translational Sciences. He leads the company’s Biology team and supports discovery, mechanism of action, and translational studies. He is focused on building patient sample data and collaborations, and insights into mechanism and target biology.
Bo brings nearly 20 years’ industry experience spanning therapeutic areas including oncology, immune-oncology, autoimmunity, and infectious disease. He has led the discovery and preclinical development of multiple antibody and complex biologic therapeutics, many of which have been tested clinically.
His experience leading drug discovery and development of antibodies and complex biologics into clinical development includes Bristol-Myers Squibb, AbCellera Biologics, and Curie.bio. He has focused on generating decisional data at each stage of drug development, from discovery through development, translational, biomarkers to IND submission. Bo’s approach combines deep biological expertise in model systems with a strong understanding of how to build biologics to address biological, mechanistic, and translational questions.
Bo holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Chicago and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
